Wishbone Studio was born from over a decade of passion and hands-on experience in suspension design. What started with modifying RC car suspensions more than 10 years ago grew into building full-scale systems for Formula SAE, where precision and performance mean everything.

Other suspension design softwares often turn what should be a straightforward process into a frustrating one. Geometry setup demands constant tweaking, and exporting into CAD requires hours of manually recreating points and references. Instead of enabling creativity and efficiency, these tools often slow development with repetitive steps and unnecessary rework.

That’s why we created Wishbone Studio: a simplified, streamlined suspension design tool built around the essentials. No bloat, no unnecessary complexity—just the geometry and outputs you actually need. It bridges the gap between design and CAD, letting you export hardpoints directly to SolidWorks in a fraction of the time.

But Wishbone goes further. Where most programs stop at geometry, Wishbone allows you to select a tire model and input your car’s parameters to instantly calculate tire loads and link loads. By combining geometry with real forces, Wishbone makes it possible to design, validate, and refine without guesswork.

Our inspiration comes from the classics—Milliken & Milliken’s Race Car Vehicle Dynamics and Carroll Smith’s Tune to Win—which emphasize fundamentals, clarity, and usability. Wishbone Studio takes those principles and translates them into modern software designed for engineers, students, and enthusiasts alike.
